▲ SPRING NOIR ▲
For the (almost) Summer days when it feels like Summer is nowhere in sight...
I'm in S.F. this week and even though June is right around the corner, it's been feeling like December outside lately! Grrr...(makes it hard to look at Southern Hemisphere friends' & fashion bloggers Insta snaps of bikinis and perfect sunny beaches pop up in your feed each chilly, dark morning at 6am while buried under layers of comforters & wool blankets.) Yep, June gloom is in FULL effect here...sigh.
So, in the spirit of sharing some ideas for incorporating vintage into your style—here's one of my fav go-to styles for tackling this weird time of year in-between seasons, when you SHOULD be pulling out your sundresses but you're still grabbing your scarves on way out the door.
And, of course, any excuse to rock a traditional black leather moto jacket is always a plus in my book. It compliments nicely with old cutoff/DIY vintage Levi's, solid black tights, and your fav white screenprinted vintage tee. A slight feminine accessory touch to contrast the harsh black can be achieved by adding a colorful wrap in hair or scarf; the black beanies are great if you're heading out for Thirsty Thursday to the nearest dive bar to hide out after work and you are feeling the super "please leave me alone to drink my whiskey" vibes.
Hang on there, it's (ALMOST) Friday ;)
