▲ CAPTAIN FIN x STINK 'ZINE

California-based contemporary culture artist, Evan "Stink" Rossell is known for his colorful, often cartoonish work – art that was honed through days spent drawing, painting, surfing and skateboarding while growing up. Inspired by his grandfather – who worked as a cartoonist in the late ’60s and ’70s – the artist’s craft has grown to include influences from old comics, patterns, hairy people and graffiti.

Stink has additionally collaborated with brands including: Nike and Hurley. During the holiday 2012 season, the artist paired up with creative renegade surf brand also hailing from Southern California, Captain Fin Co.
to produce a very special limited-edition 'zine which sold out quickly online upon public release.

I've always had a passion for small-run printed designs and limited-quantity artistic productions and wanted to get my hands on this special artistic collaboration which was a hand-creation of Stink's wild illustrations & hand-stitched spine and Captain Fin's raw photo analog photography featuring talented surfers from the team.
Thanks to Needles & Pens in San Francisco, a great little gallery and retail store representing DIY and original artwork & handcrafted products from local designers—I was able to pick up a #5 edition
from this limited run 'zine of 30 copies.

Pictured above, are a few snaps of some of the spreads from the Stink  x Captain Fin Co. 'zine collab
