Thanks so much to everyone who participated in The Sunset Sessions' first Instagram contest!

Tomorrow, Saturday September 15th, The Sunset Sessions will proudly celebrate the completion of it's first official month in operation. 

The support and enthusiasm from everyone, everywhere thus far has been fantastic—I'd like to take a moment to thank you for being here reading this and sharing the stoke of a brand and project I feel incredibly passionate about sharing publicly. 

As with all new endeavors (especially retail business ventures) it takes a lot of energy, passion, patience, dedication and financial investment to just get things off the ground. In addition to simply organic traffic and sales, the involvement and participation of the greater social community really helps spread the word of small independent designers, craftsmen, vendors, fashion stylists and bloggers to help them grow and thrive—expanding their presence to customers who may not otherwise ever hear about them.

So, I'd like to thank you just in reading this, for following the social network and your curiosity and interest in what The Sunset Sessions has to offer. Massive thank you to those of you who have helped to converse about, link to, promote or share The Sunset Sessions brand and retail presence. And much appreciation to everyone who has participated in this first Instagram contest and/or the prior two week's Twitter and Facebook contests.

We still have some awesome one-of-a-kind vintage and retro clothing available in store at sunset-sessions.com while it lasts, and there's lots more new amazing items to be added to store VERY soon..so stay tuned!! 

I'll continue to host more weekly contests for free giveaways across the social network for dedicated followers (here on this blog, Instagram and Twitter) on a weekly basis, as well as some even BIGGER GIVEWAYS via email drawings.

There were many fantastic and lovely photos submitted to The Sunset Sessions first Instagram contest.

For those of you who may have missed the theme focus, it was about sharing the special stoke at the magic hour of sunset, as one of the mantras of The Sunset Sessions is celebrating the soul of magical sessions with boards and/or friends on memorable days. So we actually had a toss-up between a few naturally beautiful images, original perspectives and representations of pure stoke shared with others.

The grand finalist (and recipient of the $100 vintage store credit) goes to @blushing101 for a a beautiful authentic perspective of friends and family at sunset:

The first runner-up (and recipient a vintage bikini) goes to @farrahkemp for celebrating the stoke of surfing waves at sunset (and even bigger stoke of simply cheering your friends on surfing):
