I recently discovered the new clothing label Pyrite + Love, founded by designer, Stephanie Bukowski. Stephanie's creative vision has fostered a beautiful line of Boho-inspired leather clothing consisting of: jackets, vests, shorts, halters and more...the colors are reflective of natural elements of the earth (thus "pyrite" —another inspiration point behind the label) and her wanderlust-style fashion photography aesthetically compliments the relaxed fit and stylish gypsetter look of the clothing as well as fringe detail—which is a design aesthetic integrated into most pieces in the line.

SoCal rebel style featuring Jenny Parry and Lauren Graham
I just caught a glimpse of a few stylishly captivating stills from short film currently in production featuring stunning model Jenny Parry and amazing filmmaker Lauren Graham entitled, 'This Cigarette.' The ever-inspiring duo have been decked out in classic southern-California vintage style and shooting in Palm Springs, high up in the Hollywood Hills and at a crazy creepy motel in LA. I love the great sense of feminine rebellion conveyed from their shoots while cruising in hot old cars, hanging out in trailer parks—even the styling/wardrobe, makeup is impressive. I can't wait to see this film in it's entirety. To promote the film, LA CANVAS featured Parry and Graham in an editorial shot by Danielle Defoe for their most recent issue.

During a pretty intense work week I was actually able to sneak away from the office grind for a bit for a quick lunchtime surf session and nice long walk on the beach at sunset one night this week. Or, something we like to refer to around here as—"The Sunset Sessions"—which represent the pure experience of enjoying a beautiful, magical session (soulful experience) in nature...Whether with friends or simply independently

it's simply about the spiritual connection of a meaningful experience in nature.

Yes, The Sunset Sessions IS also about helping to connect you with some really authentic, bitchin' vintage clothing through the garments which we source and supply—but majority of these fashion items we sell are unique items which were representative of an era, or archetype of individuals, which was/who were very connected with nature, spiritual surroundings, true authentic lifestyles and passion for handcrafting (or supporting) unique one-of-a-kind garments representing quality & authenticity.
Being in California, we are blessed to experience some amazing sunset sessions—and try to get out with our boards, bikes, instruments and/or friends to take advantage of the beautiful scenery that nature has provided...

Today is an exciting day, as several all-new Fall/Winter lookbooks just been added to
The last three months of operation have been incredibly busy (but very exciting!!) While announcing the brand rollout and launching social media platforms, there were many long days spent cataloguing and photographing in studio all new merchandise for the online store, developing all e-commerce sites, creating content, setting up analytics tools—lots of backend, behind-the-scenes technical work just getting the platform(s) to function! But amidst all that technical work, there were some fabulous days enjoyed creatively shooting beautiful, stylish vintage fashions with amazing, talented people in inspiring locations.
